What we do
AI ToolBattle is an independent publication dedicated to rigorous, manual comparison of AI tools for enterprise and developer use cases. We are not a news site — we are a testing lab.
Every tool we compare has been used with real workloads: actual API calls, real prompts, real measurements. We do not accept vendor briefings as a substitute for hands-on testing.
Our testing methodology
For each comparison, we:
- Purchase credits independently — no complimentary access accepted if we are writing a comparative ranking
- Design real-world scenarios — customer support tickets, code reviews, legal documents, content workflows — tailored to the use cases our readers actually have
- Run blind evaluations — output is scored by evaluators who do not know which model produced it
- Measure actual cost — not estimated: we track exact token counts and calculate real dollar figures
- Update regularly — AI pricing changes weekly. We verify data before every publish
Who is behind AI ToolBattle
AI ToolBattle was founded in 2025 by a team of engineers and product managers who work with AI tools professionally and were frustrated by the lack of honest, data-driven comparisons. We are based across North America, Europe, and Latin America — which is why we publish in English, Spanish, and French.
Revenue model and independence
We monetize through display advertising (Google AdSense). We do not participate in affiliate programs that require us to prioritize specific tools. When we use affiliate links, they are clearly labeled and never influence our rankings.
We will never accept payment to improve a tool's ranking, omit a weakness, or write content we have not verified.
